    Default Lots of drool...?

We woke up this morning and my dog has been acting totally normal. He's been his playful self, ate his breakfast, etc. He was just sitting on my lap though and I noticed a huge amount of drool dripping down. It's all clear, but there was a lot. Could there be something stuck in his throat or something? I'm freaking out a bit here and don't know what to do or if I should be concerned....

I heard that this could happen when a dog has a sore throat. But I’m not sure because You said that it was clear. The vet said that it should be white (if it’s the sore throat).

I suggest calling the vet. Mine drool when they're nauseous.

Had he just drank some water before climbing onto your lap? When Lola drinks water, about 25% is actually consumed and the rest leaks out of her mouth everywhere for the next minute or so! LOL
My floors will never look clean again!! LOL

No, I know it's definitely not him drinking.

He's very licky this morning too...licking his paws and arms a lot. Licking his lips a lot too. I know something is bothering him. I'm going to try and give him some rice.

Could be an upset stomach....could be something caught in his teeth.....could be a lot of things!

Kelev did it every now and then as he got older.

Pugs will drool and froth if they have eaten something that tastes very bitter. However it is normally short lived. I'd try bland food for a day or so in case he's feeling nauseous and see what happens.

Excessive drooling may be signs of an underlying condition. Is it really excessive?
Pugs have a way of finding the people who need them, filling an emptiness we don't even know we have.

Oscar had a bout of excessive drooling once that lasted a whole day. The vet told me to watch him for that day, feed him boiled chicken and rice and keep him calm. If he wasn't better the following day she wanted to see him. He woke up normal the next morning. My vet thought it was just an upset tummy.
