Chaka is trying to throw up...but nothing is coming out...what's wrong with him?

Since last night Chaka has been trying to throw up but nothing is coming out....he is otherwise very normal...
Can anyone pleas help me and tell me what might be wrong with him?

Nothing at all is coming? Not even a bit of froth?

What happens when he eats or drinks?

Are his poops normal?

Is he making any kind of noise as he tries to throw up?

He's eating and drinking normally...he's going potty as usual...he's behaving normally otherwise.
The first time he tried to throw up...two nights ago...he threw up some white froth...since then it's just been the heaving but nothing comes up...

I think that would warrant a vet visit. Hope it's nothing. How many times a day is he doing it?

The vet said Chaka has kennel cough...and I know exactly where he got it from...we went to help my hubby's parents move into their new place in Vegas a few days ago and Chaka was with us and spent most of his time with hubby's parents' English Bulldogs...ugh, so sad. Chaka has to be on medication for 2 weeks!

Poor Chaka. But hey, at least it's something easy to treat and temporary, and not something awful. Big hugs from my bunch.

Poor puggy... Like puglogic said, at least its nothing serious and easily treated.

Glad you found out what it was and your baby is on the road to recovery.

Thank you, everyone...it just breaks my heart to see him act unlike his spunky little self...the vet said that one of the medications may make him drowsy and, sure enough, he's been sleeping almost all day since he took his pills...my poor baby! It's a good thing I'm off work today and I can be with him all day.
