    Default Pug Acne?.

Kaiser has a spot on his chin and it's real stubborn, it just won't clear up.

Is there anything I can get to help shift this?

I live in Ireland so might not be able to get my hands on lotions/potions that you use in the US

I'd get the vet to have a look at it, in case it is something that needs to be removed. Hopefully it is just a normal spot but if it is not clearing up I think it does warrant a vet visit.

A vet visit first. If it's acne make sure you're feeding from ceramic or stainless steel and not plastics.

All his bowls are stainless steel. Vet told me to keep washing his face twice a day with cooled boiled water. Any other ideas from the experts?

Clean with witch hazel, dry and apply neosporin...Vinknee, Luigi Marco and Lucia Maria also known as Mr. and Mrs. Pickles.

Hi I am from Ireland also :) my pug had this problem and we changed his bowls to ceramic ones also what treats are you giving your pug? we were giving him these little bones we got in the pet shop but our Vet told us they are just crap so we stopped and we were sometimes giving him a little bit of hot dog but we have cut all this out now and it has cleared up completely.

Hi what's neosporin? Might be able to get an alternative here??

Pooperz, he has carrots as a treat - loves them!! Will have a look at the ceramic bowls though!

Add salt to the cooled boiled water and definitely change to steel or ceramic bowls. I think Neosporin is an antibiotic skin cream; like our Savlon but with antibiotic in it. You could always try a dab of Savlon or Germolene so long as you rub it in so he can't lick much off.

My pug has one on the side of his mouth!
I thought it was food, so I tried to clear it away, and then I realised it was permanent. My boyfriend tried squeezing it, and a little bit of pus and blood came out of it.
I told him if it doesn't clear up by Tuesday I am taking him to the vet.
He seems perfectly normal... his behaviour has not changed in any way.
I was really concerned about this too.
I wouldn't call it a pimple... it is more like a bit zit! And its big for a human, I didn't think little 5 month old pugs would get anything like this.
