Default Something is not right with Rebbie

he is shaking really bad and looking straight up to the ceiling. This started after I got him out of his crate. He seemed to be in a pretty deep sleep....I gave him his Tryfexis today.

I know shaking is a sign of pain. What should I do?

To the vet immediately. probably a reaction to the Trifexis. Don't delay.

    Trifexis side effects

If you look at the emails on this blog there is a dog that exhibited the exact same symptoms as Rebbie, sleeping heavy, staring at ceiling, disoriented.

I have been giving him this for a while now. Why would this come up all of the sudden? He did throw up last time but he was okay afterward.

He is no longer shaking. He is still sleeping. I guess calling the emergency vet is in order. I just don't trust them very much. When Rebs got sick after his neutering, I felt that they were truly trying to run up the bill.

Some dogs have it many times without a reaction, then suddenly....wham!

I would not give it to him any more.

From what I am reading (I've never used it myself) it seems the symptoms last about 12 hours.

I think he is feeling some better. He just woke up. His tail is curled and wagging. He still looks like he doesn't feel 100 percent but he does look better than he did an hour ago.

I am definitley not going to give it to him anymore! Scary. I think he is going to be okay. Do you think I should still take him to the emergency vet?

No. Not unless he gets worse again.

From what I've read they pass without treatment usually.
