I just got this product and will be using it along with Mercola Natural Flea & Tick Spray. It is a concentrate so I will be putting a drop or 2 on their collar/harness only, not on their skin/fur (since I prefer not to put cedarwood oil on their skin). But it can be diluted with water for a bath or a spray directly onto dogs. I'm also going to wear it on a collar around my ankle/wrist and see if I get bitten by mosquitos while wearing it because I really need to lay off the Off! some. I'm probably poisoning myself slowly! I spray that stuff on me 3 times a day. That can't be healthy!
Herbal Dip (.5oz)
Anyone else use this product before?
I have not heard of it, but I'd love a review from you after you've tried it on yourself. I have trouble tolerating the smell of traditional mosquito spray and I've used a few homemade essential oil sprays, but they wear off so quickly.

I will try it the next 3 days and see how it goes. There is also a site called Wondercide.com I think that has organic cedar chips you can place in dog beds and around the house. I was thinking of trying that too. Maybe put some by the back door so the bugs don't follow us back in! They have some sprays too.
Tell us how it goes & cedar chips too! I need something besides the candles outside the house. My 4 year old boy is a mosquito magnet, I counted 7+ on my my son's head for just being outside 5 min. It's so bad here that they are out during the day time, all day long. I gotta move from this rental house, just to maybe get relief for the mosquitos cuz there is a ditch in the back along the houses that is a mosuqito breeding haven.I really don't want to put repelent too much on my kids.
Poor Bebe got a bite from one inside the house, even when she has Vectra 3D topical on her, and supposed to repel mosquitos. Maybe I didn't put the Vectra 3D far up enough on her back?So glad she also has heartworm pills.
Wonder if Magic Mesh works so bugs don't follow you.
This is day 2 with just using the 2 collars with a couple drops of oil on them and I have not been bitten the last 2 days while outside. And i'm usually a mosquito magnet, even been bitten through my clothes and on my face where I don't spray the OFF!. I haven't ordered the cedar chips yet but was thinking of spraying some of the natural sprays on some bandanas or other pieces of cloth and putting them around the back porch gate. My back patio has a an iron gate around it. So far so good! And I have a creek 3 houses down from my house and have the green belt behind my house. Wish it would repel the snakes! Found another one of those on my back porch couple weeks ago. I also ordered Only Natural Pet Herbal Defense Oil Blend to alternate with. Mercola has human natural spray by the way. I just get tired of spraying myself all the time. Natural Sunscreen and Insect Repellent - Mercola.com
Wow, that's really encouraging! I may have to invest in some! I'm usually a mosquito magnet as well and my bites swell up and look like hives and VERY itchy! Whereas my husband will get a mosquito bite and it's barely noticeable and only itches for a couple of hours. For him they are a minor annoyance, but they make me miserable!

Well something attempted to bite me this morning. Left behind a pinpoint spot that has already gone away in 30 minutes.
No bites last night at dusk and at 1030 pm! And the spot I got yesteday morning was not a bite. It was more like a reaction to a bug touching me. Same kind of small spot I get when I touch certain kinds of plants and certain types of cardboard for some reason. Odd. I noticed I haven't had any skeeters in the house either. The dog room is in the back dining room where the back door is.
That sounds like a good product then. Yesterday, I wasnt even out for a minute and I got a biteI think there is so many mosquitos here it can carry my whole family away
We used Natural Flea & Tick Defense spray on our dog and it was totally ineffective against ticks, in spite of repeated applications. We tried it for about 3 months, then gave up, as we removed tick after tick (sometimes 20-30 a day!). Fleas have never been a problem so I cant speak about those. We also used it on our cat, til our vet warned us that the essential oils in it can cause liver failure in cats. Just because a product says it's all natural apparently doesn't make it safe.
Worthless, potentially harmful product if you ask me.
