A dogs heat can last close to a month. Usually they say 1 week coming into heat, 1 week in heat, and 1 week coming out of heat for a total of 3 weeks. They can bleed or spot the entire time and be very 'attractive' to other dogs the entire time.

Dogs have a "heat' every 6 months so twice a year is normal.

The best thing for the pug is to have her spayed and then there won't be any worries about it and it is best for the dog.
