Oh yes I think so. When I will lightly rub Winston's chest, he makes a rumbling sound in his chest and his eyes half-close. I think it's his version of a purr. He does it more so than the other pugs.

My boys that see with their hearts.
Lemon purrs all the time, especially when we massage her face. Her eyes close, and she puts her paw on your arm like "please don't leave!"

I thought it was my imagination when I thought I heard Mugsy purring the other day, but then Bob came into the room and went "is that pug purring!". He loves to have his chin and chest rubbed and will gurgle and purr contentedly. i was surprised because Opie has never done this.
Ellie purrs when Daddy is giving her a rubdown.

Yes, yes, yes! They do purr. I love the sound. Otto will come over and put his paw on me or rest his head on my chest if I'm lying down and half-close his eyes and purr. He looks so very blissful that it makes my whole day!
Otto's mom (also known as Linda)
Yes definately during petting, Milo purrs. I've never seen Casey do it but then if you start to pet him he just goes into those puppy crazies.
