Default What shampoo do you use for your pug?

I have noticed many of the pugs on this site have a nice shiny coat. I have tried many shampoos, but Blake always has an oily coat a couple of days after his bath. What does everyone recommend? Thanks for your help!

During the summer I use Oatmeal shampoo for Milo and during the winter I use vitamin infusion shampoo that my vets office sells. Keeps his skin moisturized and he smells so good. The oatmeal seems to help him in the summer better with all the grass and things that irritate his skin. The winter here is cold and damp so he's not gonna go out much anyways.

I very seldom bathe my pugs in cold weather, I'm too afraid of them getting chilled. In the summer I probably bathe them every 4-6 weeks, although they're inside 95% of the time.

My favorite shampoo is Nova Pearls. Jimbo tends to be "itchy" in the Spring, I think he's slightly allergic to emerging weeds and grasses, and the Nova Pearls seems to keep him comfortable. It has coal tar, like Head & Shoulders and Tegrin for humans.

Nova Pearls lathers beautifully and rinses easily.

Is Blake on a good quality kibble? I wonder if his oily coat is due could be blamed on diet. Lemon's definitely responds when I change her food. What made the biggest difference, though, was giving her a fatty acid capsule every morning. We use VitaCaps by Drs. Foster & Smith.

I'm a HUGE fan of Buddy Wash. The smell is addictive! And it really makes for nice, shiny fur.

I feed him Science Diet Light. He has a bit of a weight problem. I tried Solid Gold, but he hated it! I am open to other suggestions. What does everyone else feed their pug? I want the best for my little guy.

Where do you get Buddy Wash and all these other wonderful shampoos everyone is using?
