When he comes home, immediately seek the advice of a second vet. Hugs to you both.

So sorry you have to go through this. Come back to the Village and tell us everything - we have a number of folks who have had puggies with heart problems. Sending you many positive thoughts.

Some pups are born with heart murmurs... There are different grades. Some of them outgrow the lower grade ones.

I'm so sorry you're having trouble! Please keep us posted!

    Default update on MR T

Hi all will MR T was transferred to a vet hospital about 4 hours drive away from me so far he's had Bloods test, urine and x rays later today they are doing echocardiogram, ultrasound Doppler echocardiograph and a heartworm test they have told me he may have Duchtus Arteriosis if it is surgery and treatment will be needed or he will die before his 1st birthday they are also looking at Heart Failure which will need treatment and meds but with help can live a good life but a short one feeling so helpless again today my poor baby he's had been throw so much is such a short life, they going to put him onto a holter monitor for 24/48 hours they have said they will no more tomorrow when all the test have been done. I did ask the vet could this be because of the way he was when born and kept before he was rescue from the puppy farm as he was in the dark and he is very small the vet said its hard to say but he may have just been born with it and now that he being cared for better and he is playing and more active its come to light please has anyone been though this with any of they puppies i have only had him a few weeks but i love him so much and i feeling so sad for him and so worried all at the same time. I just like to say thank you for all you kind words and prays i will keep you all up to date when i can thank you all please give all your pugs a hug from me.

How scary. Sending you and little Mr T our very best wishes and puggy get well vibes.

I don't have experience of this, specifically, though I know of many older pugs who have lived for a long time quite happily with drugs for congestive heart failure.

What I do have much more experience of than I would like is my baby being away in hospital with a life-threatening condition so I know just how awful and helpless you must be feeling. Hang in there - being at a specialist hospital is the best place for him right now. Which one is it, if you don't mind me asking?
