    Default food choices

Last post, about food... these are some of the ones, i've come up with... there is only a Petsmart, and another little pet store within resonable distance of my house in NC...

    Nutro Lamb & Rice
    Nutro Chicken & Rice
    Eukanuba Adult Maintenance

Buying dog food online isn't really an option, because they charge a lot for shipping at places I've seen.. We were thinking about switching to Solid Gold MMillenna Beef & Barley formula, but Petco sells that, not petsmart. So any info on these 3?

We have had a lot of luck with the Nutro line. We had to try a few since BJ had some food allergies. We have been successful with Nurto Max and Nutro Ultra.

I would NOT feed the Eukanuba. Corn meal is the third ingredient, meaning that, by weight, it's the third most plentiful ingredient in the food.

The Nutro foods look much better: NO CORN, NO wheat. The corn is particularly important to eliminate.

Just look carefully at the ingredients labels! If you see corn, especially, you might want to put it back on the shelf and find something better.

    Nutro Lamb & Rice

This is what we feed Winston, and he loves it. His coat is really nice too.

Yeah, As I was reading the ingredients for the Eukanuba that is exactly what I was thinking.

We use the Nutro Natural Choice line and love it! Zuki has corn allergies so it works well for her. She is on the "lite" formula, Oso is eating the "Small bites" formula. Both are Lamb and Rice. The small bites are great! They are about the size of a green pea. I have heard the quality of this lines goes "Nutro Max-Good, Nutro Natural Choice-Better, Nutro Ultra-Best". We have not tried the "Ultra" since my guys are doing fine on the Natural...

Mia loves her Nutro Ultra Weight Management. and not even a hint of disturbance when I switched her over.

    Default Corn?

I have been feeding Jade Nutro Max Chicken, Lamb & Rice (Puppy) mixed in with Royal Canin Mini Baby Dog 30 dry and she has been doing great. I just saw that it has corn gluten meal as the 6th ingredient.

What are the negatives about this? I hate to switch her when she is doing so well on it.
