Chino Update !

To all who remember, Chino had a pretty nasty UTI and crystals but after some antibiotics, she tested fine. She also had a problem for the last few years, of getting very lathargic and congested for weeks at a time and just not feeling well. We looked into everything and the vets couldn't figure out what to do or what was causing this. Chino has been on Greenies, since she was old enough to have them and we decided to stop giving them to her and to our surprise, she has been a totally different dog. She plays ALL the time now and only sleeps when we do or when we are gone. She loves laying in the sun and chewing her bully stick. The greenies are now gone for good and I think they had something to do with her feeling bad for the last few years. One vet said she could have an allergy to something in them and that they are mostly made up of wheat glutone. I'm not 100% sure it was the greenies, but it's funny how she hasn't had a spell of feeling bad, since we got her off them. Just wanted to let everyone know she is doing great. We now have a real dog !

yeah !!!! from one chino to the next ....

i had some skin issues when i was young too no one could figure out what was going on ... my mom changed my food to a fish based formula and i have been fine ever since.....glad you are feeling better now....

I've only given greenies to mine a couple times, and then the surgeon (that did all marges surgeries) told me that many dogs get allergic reactions/stomach issues/or they don't chew them fully and then they can get stuck in the intestines or soemthing like that... So, we stopped feeding them.... I'm glad your chino is feeling a lot better and is playing again!! :)
