    Default flying dog

my dog just got away off his leash and flew off this 3 foot wall into a bush and kept running like it was nothing..I'm scared he is hurt..I checked his eyes and everything is ok..would he have made a yelp if he was hurt?

My first concern would probably be his eyes if he landed in a bush .... I dunno, I'd give him a real good looksie.. if he acts like he has no issues, and you see no obvious issues, I betcha he's fine. Just keep an eye on him. My guys have done some wild things (without my permission, little heathens), and no one has been hurt.

Yes, I'd keep a close eye on him - especially the eyes...I always have artificial tears on hand, as well as Genteal Severe lubricant (which he gets three times a day anyway) and Refresh PM - all over the counter.

yea he seems fine..eyes clear..I'm going to give a more thorough check though when my boyfriend gets home so he can hold him down..he is usually weary of heights..he was scared to go down the one step I have towards my living room..not sure why he flew off the wall like that..he's a lil stuntman alright lol

The day after we brought Lemon home, we were sitting on our front steps with her. She was on Tim's lap, just hanging out... 'til some neighbors came by. Lemon jumped up, hurled herself off of his lap and did a complete belly flop onto the concrete. I started crying, he went pale, and she just ran around wagging her tail. That was the day we learned she really loves people.

Pugs are pretty resilient. Like everyone has said, I'd just take a good look at his eyes -- preferably in the sunlight. If he starts squinting or pawing at his eyes, get him to the vet pronto.

Oh no Lemon did a belly flop on the cement, how awful! I'm crying just thinking of it.
A couple times Co-Pilot has jump off the bed without using the step at the end of the bed, goofball, it worries me terribly. Hope your Pug is okay today Mitzy!

Yeah, Jackson fell down an entire flight of stairs (minus 3 steps) the 2nd day I brought him home. (My brother, the highly responsible dog-loving, pup-owning babysitter, who was trying to teach him how to climb stairs without the fear-factor of looking at the whoile flight ahead of him, told me this about 8 months later, when he was obviously fine!)

He then leapt out of the way-back of the Jeep onto asphalt about a week later, on his own accord. I've since discovered that pugs must have a bouceable tigger-gene somewhere in their adorable funny-faced makeup taht allows them such activities free from harm. I wouldn't encourage it, but if they seem fine, I'd assume they're fine!
