    Default Pug's paw problem

Hi: Our inherited Pug Brutus (4 yrs. old) was licking under his right paw a lot.
He has stopped but I checked and there is a crack and redness, between the pads and the crack is also between the pads. Any thoughts?

This could be injury or allergies, although allergies would be more likely to have him licking all his paws. A vet needs to evaluate.

Sounds like he has allergies. I would talk to your vet to see what medicine he can recommend. Keiki would do that and we were prescribed Atopica.

    Default Pug Paw prob.

As a matter of fact, he has been licking all
paws in intervals, he doesn't like to walk on grass
I am sure he has that allergy, so we avoid that
(good thing we don't have a lawn) I do wash him
up paws and underbelly included. That seems to help,
he'a always happy after little "freshen up"
The crack though, is another story, I guess
he'll need a "puppy party cone hat" if he gets a topical
treatment from the vet. Thanks for the replies.
