The Pug Purr

How many of your pugs do the pug purr? MuShu doesn't do it lot, like my last pug, but when she does do it she seems to do it when meeting new people! They almost jump back or are so shocked and say, "Why, this dog is purring!" I get such a kick out of it! (ANOTHER similarity to cats!!! I MUST compile a list!) Anyway, how about your puggies out there? Do they purr and when?

Mine purr especially Pudding when she's relaxing!

Dougie does it when he is relaxing or waiting for dinner. Lulu does it a bit when happy but the other two very seldom.

Poncho does purr quite a bit. He especially purrs when he is in the ZONE - kind of sleepy and very relaxed and receiving rubbies.

He also purrs when strangers come up and give him rubbies. Its as if he's trying to win them over with his cuteness

Mz Tilly purrs when watching tv. Sometimes it difficult to tell if she's purring or snoring

Hmmm.. I've always thought Dixie was snoring too... I'll have to pay more attention to see if she's purring. The sound I love the most is the squeaky yawn ~ melts my heart every time.

Well, lately MuShu has been purring a lot! I guess to encourage me to continue to scratch the sides of her face, her neck and the top of her head. It is so doggone cute I "oblige" her! I just LOVE pugs!

ollie purrs a lot! he purs for a bit whenever he sits on your lap and every night when we go to bed. he just sounds so content!

charlie doesn't purr, but she does have a big sigh every night as we settle into bed. it sounds just like she is deflating. getting all the days air out to let in the fresh night air.

Tumnus does it when he is falling asleep
