but is there going to be a Christmas card exchange this year? I forget (please forgive me!) who ran it last year. If there is going to be one, I want to be thinking of photo ideas. It sure was fun to get all of those cards from so many places. I think I enjoyed getting them more than from friends and family! The pictures and cards were just so clever and/or cute with the pics of the puggies. But, then I guess I am obsessed!

My wife Amy, Wonka&Nilla, did it last year and I assume there will be an exchange this year.
Since the latest PV updates, her account has been messed up and she is unable to post. As soon as it's working again, she will answer any questions you have (hopefully very soon).

YAY to Amy! Again, please forgive me for forgetting who actually had to do all of the work for the Christmas card exchange! I can't express how much I enjoyed getting those cards! Thanks , Andrew, for getting back to me so quickly.
Hey, and anyone out there that didn't get in on it last year, it really is fun! I'm going to start buying some stamps every month so I don't have the expense all at once. I'll wait, of course, on international but woo-hoo! I'm stoked for this Christmas!

Sound like fun, was new last year so I don't think I had enough post to do anything.

Oh this sounds interesting, how does it work?
People who want to join the exchange (nobody HAS to) are assigned the names and addresses of others who want to. Most of the cards are the photograph ones and picture our pugs in Christmas costumes or displays, and all are clever. In fact, some people keep them hanging up all year. You only send as many cards as you want. All shall be revealed. Amy will announce the exact rules. It's a really fun way to get to know people!

The PugVillage Christmas card exchange is an annual tradition where PugVillager's from all over the world exchange greeting cards with other PVer's. Last year was my first year taking the reins and attempting to manage it. While I ran into a few stumbles, I think it went fairly well overall. Assuming that people want me to take care of it again this year, I'll gladly do it so that this fun tradition can continue.
Here is the thread about it from last year so new people can get an idea of what it's all about: http://pugvillage.com/forum/village-lounge/95415-christmas-holiday-card-exchange.html
I haven't given it a lot of thought yet this year so I don't know if any of the "rules" will change, but I expect it will be basically the same. If anyone has suggestions for how we can make it better or run more smoothly, please post them!
What a GREAT idea!
I love the card exchange.... without it, It just wouldn't feel like Christmas to me! I love going to the mailbox and getting my "daily pug cards" during December.

LOL - oh the example cards are just the best! Well done you lot, what a ruddy brilliant idea.
I don't suppose there is a thread with ALL the card designs on it, is there? I know it's July but they made me smile so much![]()
