I have a welcome sign on a statue of a pug and the pugs go nuts and bark and bark at the statue. it is as big as Zeena or bigger. what a hoot to watch them go nuts over the statue.

this morning Max just up and barked at this bag in the kitchen. no idea why..the bag was empty but he felt that it did not belong I guess..lol

Zeus barks at funny things too.........he barks at his reflection in the mirror all the time and really barks when the pedigree dogfood commerical is on TV

Scot's mom has a 'time out doll' that creeps the heck out of me -- it looks like a little boy leaning forward and hiding his face against the wall. It's the size and shape of a 3 year old and dressed to suit - looks lifelike, actually. Wally barked at it for about 10 minutes last time we went to visit -- I think he was creeped out too.

Bear barks at everything. but he will bark non-stop at my husbands floating lounge chair in the pool. He just stands at the pool fence barking at it. He's better if we take it out of the pool so it's not moving on the water, but will still bark at it some even when parked on the deck.

Bailey, who is elderly, blind and deaf will sometimes be happily chewing on a bone in her bed and suddenly jump up and start barking at nothing, she feels ghosts are trying to steal her bone!

Daphne will often bark at something new or something out of place. My husband moved a medium sized lanscape rock to a different part of our back yard and the next morning when I took Daphne out, she spent a good 2-3 minutes barking at the rock - starting to approach, then backing up quickly and barking some more. I had to keep sitting by the rock and patting it until she finally sniffed it then went elsewhere to do her business.

my son just got back from a camping trip and put up the tent to air is out ...
Zeus just had a royal fit when he seen the tent...........maybe his way of thinking that is a huge doghouse..lol

Mischka is limited in gait mobility, sight and hearing. But the smell of breakfast is not lost to her. And she loudly barks at anyone near her plate. Arsene Lupin wakes up with a start and dances out to give any bear on television a loud piece of his mind.

My co-worker's dog will bark if anything is out of place. Bark at the chair moved to the new spot, bark where the chair used to be, etc.

At night, Oz will start barking at the darkness the second he walks outside. He also barks as a back-up to our other dog who is a pomeranian/shelty mix (2 breeds that love to bark in one!). So if he starts barking, Oz will chime in too like "I don't know what were barking at, but I got your back, Jack!" He also barks at the reflection doggie who always has the same bone/toy he does, and mimmicks everything Oz does.

I don't know if any of your pugs do this but Oz always has his hackles up when he's barking, I think to make himself look bigger, haha.

Labor Day will be the fifth anniversary of my adopting a Hurricane Katrina refugee Pug, Kewpie. Sadly, she went to the Rainbow Bridge in February 2009.

Kewpie was elderly and nearly blind. However, she barked like a maniac at the vacuum cleaner, the hand mixer and the electric can opener. Within a week, she got to barking whenever we opened the closet where the vacuum cleaner is kept. Since that is the coat closet, it made for very noisy comings and goings all Winter long.

Well, tonight, it was quite comical as Mu and Joy started barking every time a dog barked on "Cops". This happened on every segment tonight. I finally had to put them to bed to be able to finish watching.
