I bought a "rack" at a yard sale here in the "city" - a kid had drawn on one part of them... I have been sawing off lengths for years for my pack!

Tinker loves them too!!
My guys love their store bought "Antlerz" but if we found any in the woods my hubby would add them to his "shed" collection and never let the dogs have them ) =
Shed hunting is a huge deal here in the NorthWest and any racks of deer and elk that are found are displayed with pride by the finder LOL! I myself would rather give them to the pooches and save some money!

Nom, nom, nom! Those look like some happy pugs!
We're never lucky enough to find them in the woods. But we do have a local person who has sold us some (cheap!) for the past couple of years. Occasionally we get one that the pugs show no interest in, hubby takes a bit of sand paper and roughs up an edge and that usually does the trick - must make it smell better?

Unfortunately we've never had luck finding any in the woods. You have to find a spot where deer tend to hang out a lot, which takes a lot of time. I should have thought about this and got my uncle to get me some this past hunting season... next year I'll have to remember. Hunters generally don't care about the racks unless they're quite big around here.
