Hello hello :)
So, I have decided it's time to get a nice 'forever' collar for Nano, and I was wondering where everyone found the collars that they have for their pugs? There isn't much for a selection around here in-stores, so i've started looking online. I like the Petco site, it has some nice ones, but I thought I would check in to PV first :D
Feel free to show off your pugs and their cute collars, I know there are some nice ones out there!

P.S- I found a rolled leather one I really liked, but Nano's neck rolls go right over it! haha :)

Ah, the ever present puggy neck roll... It does seem to interfere with a "pretty" collar presentation doesn't it. Our pugs collars are just for decoration and holding their tags so they hang at the back door more than they hang on their necks. If you are gonna invest the Lupine collars are really sturdy and come in some nice colors. Mu has been wearing a skull and cross bones type collar since he was a pup. We got it at the Fred's near where we live. He just looks kinda "tuff" in his collar don't ya think?
This one shows the collar a bit better.
Joy has a pink camo collar.
Kaya got a little hand me down collar when we first picked her up. We are still using this one for her when a collar is called for. Magenta looks nice next to her fawn coat.

OOohhhh that's such a cute Nemo collar!! I will check out the links for sure, thank you!
Also, omg your pugs are so cute PugMa! Fred does look very tough in his collar, and his bottom lip in the second photo reminds me of my Nano so much! Our collar will also just be for looks, as he has a nice new comfy harness that he wears outside. His old harness was too small, and his neck rolls pouffed up, and the neighbour laughed at him every time she saw him! That can be hard on a pugs self esteem :)

None of mine wear collars, but I think pacocollars.com have some really cool ones!

Here is Lola's 'Going to Town' collar!
Ozzy's temporary collar til he becomes a Big Boy!
I just want to add that I do NOT attach a leash to their collars. I have harnesses for walking. Collars are only for decoration and attaching ID & Rabies tags.

I prefer rolled leather or flat leather, not patent leather. No matter what color leather collar you get initially, most will "patina" to black from coat oils, and that is when they are soft and supple as butter.
Although Bear does have a pimp zebra stripe nylon one with matching zebra ID tag.

Our guys pull like sled dogs in a harness, so we can't walk them with harnesses. On the other hand, they are obedience dogs so they (usually) don't pull on leash (and they can't compete in harness anyway, it has to be a collar).
I don't have a photo of the boys dressed up, but we have decided on using half-check martingale collars. That way, if they do decide to pull (which is rare) the collar doesn't pop open or pull over the head with the neck rolls. Properly fitted, a martingale doesn't choke the dog at all, it's very loose at rest and tightens just to keep it from pulling off (a problem for dogs with heads the same size as their necks, like pugs and the coursing breeds).
We decided to go with something different -- we got Sprenger steel collars, which aren't 'pretty' in the floral printed sense, but we both like the utilitarian 'bling' aspect. They look kind of like necklaces with attitude ....Plus horse poop washes out really easily, which is an issue given they boys' lifestyle. This is the link to the catalog, we got the double-strand one.

Hmmm..... I just noticed that they have a Molosser collar, which is 4 rows of chain, for molossoid breeds ... gotta keep an eye out for that. Cooool.
In Ireland I got them nice plain black leather collars too, but I haven't been able to take the time to soften them up yet -- that's one of my pregnancy projects. We will probably use those only for competition.

Wow, Lola has a lot of bling! Too cute. I love the look of the rolled leather, and that pink looks so pretty on Princess Zoey!
Nano pulls like crazy if we attach anything to his collar (his baby one), but is a little angel in his harness. Those Sprenger steel collars look bling-tough for sure; I wouldn't mess with a pug who was wearing one!

We just ordered collars for our two little dogs because they both needed new name tags. We got them from Dog Tags | Pet ID Tags | Personalized Dog Collars, Leashes & Accessories. This was after Good Morning American had them on, and they had a bunch of stuff 1/2 price, including a really nice collar with built in engraved nametag for only $12. They were overwhelmed with orders so it took awhile to get them, but they look really nice. I have not taken pictures yet, but here is a picture from the website.
Bella got raspberry and Cujo got burgundy.
