Pat- Yup that's my Pit Bull-Mastiff mix weighing in at 85lbs of pure muscle. Not an ounce of fat on him
Mushu- So true, Usually Molly is up there too, my cat.

Between my 26 pound pug and and a small cat I sleep like a pretzel. Especially Audrey my pug, will lay sideways on the bed and gets one pillow for herself. My cat Molly just manages to get on the bed also. I also get a sliver, but my body is all around the bed where I can fit in

Our first pug, a pound rescue, Mugsy, used to sleep between hubby and me. He was the most dependent creature I'd ever been around. Towards the end of his life it was an absolute necessity that he sleep with us. He could not walk, urinate on his own, and I had to wake up in an instant if he needed help with anything. I miss him so very much. Our current puggie, MuShu never wanted to sleep with us. Just for a little while and then she wanted her own bed, her own space. Acted like we were crowding her! So, she has slept in her own bed all of her life here with us. I kind of miss having a puggie in the bed with me after all of those years with Mugsy touching me at all times. Now the cat is another matter. She was a stray who we finally coaxed into our home after two years. Had to be taught how to play and everything! But she loved MuShu and so we wanted her to come in to become a part of our family. She now lays at the top of my head and has to put her head on top of my head! She just purrs and purrs and even grooms me before going to sleep. Sheesh. Is kind of endearing tho'.

He does have a huge 4x4 bed on the floor at the foot of the bed. He'd just rather snuggle with mommy.
