I have stayed quiet on all of this intentionally for the last few days. For those of you who don't know UMWPR, it is a very tiny organization and strapped for resources and foster homes, especially fosters that do not have multiple pets of their own. Scot and I are in the difficult position of being Roobee's foster family, watching her personality reveal itself, and not being able to keep her here and doing more for her. She is our first foster. I am sure you can all appreciate how difficult the current situation is for us.
I have not heard from UMWPR what the plan for Roobee is, but I am sure that they will do the best for all concerned using the best information they can get. Lisa has most generously offered her help to transfer Roobee to a larger organization for which I will be eternally grateful regardless of the outcome. I am going to allow that part of the story to unfold without me. I have no information to share, I fear I have said too much in public already about Roobee's story, and so I won't be commenting from here on.
I am retreating into my shell to let the decisions be made by those in charge. I know there is a lot of concern on the Village for the outcome, and I am thankful for it, but may I please respectfully ask that all take a step back and allow this to evolve as it will, absent of public commentary. Prayers or wishes for Roobee, for those who will make the difficult decisions, and for Scot and me, would definitely be appreciated.
With thanks.
