Default Back from the SENIORS...gotta love the CENTURY GROUP...

The seniors are rubbing off on me and think I grew up in the wrong time zone..lol
been trying to find the damn to go here to see......it is in the history books and nobody knew where it was..even the people in the chamber of commerce tourism office.lol. well the seniors told me exactly where to find it and in fact there are two of them to go and see. how cool is that..

my girlfriend and I are taking a trip a month or so ..maybe 2 and we are going to go to a small local town not far away and see some of the points of interest. the seniors are full of interesting places to go and see and many of them are not in the history books..either so neat.

todays topics barn raising, beef rings and also canned beef. they were discussing how we need to as a society get out more and walk and explore some of our past........so history was also the talk of the day...........points of interest, places to go..where the best gossip places are..lol and where the best place is to go if you happen to be a church goer and everyone of them was.......... The percherons came up again and with that the local fairs and so on........ they all showed their animals at the local fairs....and the one couple had one of the percherons more or less got off the hitch and that in turn got the horses off and they were running around the ring.......and then rest of the other 10 teams of 8 were on their own too and followed.......they said it quite scary and the CITY folks as they called them were cheering them on..it took all they could to get them all back under control. they said they were super strong, beautiful and pig headed. the percherons.

Max is brain dead after today and full of info and ready to Nap........lol and me too.
he was super great again and he does seriously gets them talking.....about their past and also about their own dogs ..
since they know that Max saved a life..NOW today they all shared stories of how smart their own dogs were and the ONE really stands out.

one of the older women had a border collie on the farm that went and got the cattle for them all the time........well she disappeared one day and they had no idea where she went. then they found out that she was at the neighbours house. when it came time for him to bring in the cattle she was bringing in HIS cattle and she had no idea who this man was.......or the cattle..lol. needless to say he got himself his own border collie then to help out with his own cattle and the other dog returned to his own home.

    good morning and great time
    and interesting besides

on the upswing they got John in physiotherapy and he is moving around a bit better. had to get info on him and Marg said to tell Max to hold tight.......he is coming back in time.....
Max on the other hand was poked and prodded today and petted......not sure he really missed JOHN.. he had lots of attention today... they all know every piece of the pug.......from the head to the foot......and most of them are almost blind.......so it is neat to here them explain what Max looks like. pushed in face and soft body and curly tail well that about sums up the pug..lol they always comment on how soft a pugs ears are......always

While you can, record the memories shared with you, spice it up with some photos and add a few recipes. Then sell it and give the proceeds to your local library.

Pat glad you and Max had a great visit Macie and I went last night and the seem never too get tired of asking about the pugs history and of course her tail is always a hit. Mr. Larry and Mrs. Margret were late getting to dinner last night so they were the last out of the dining room, we go after dinner every Tues. about 6:30 she had already seen her usuals but realized they were missing and kept looking toward the door for them. When she finally saw them she was wiggling all over and could not wait for them to sit down on the couch. As soon as they were settled she started looking at Mrs. Margret and then at the bag on her walker touching with her paw, this went on for a few minutes she keeps treats for her in her bag. Finally she ask Macie if she wanted a treat Macie moved to her side and sat down waiting very patiently somewhat for her treat. Then she had to put her paws on Mr. Larry's chair for her backstratch. We do have an new resisdent not sure if she likes dogs plan to take some time to talk to her soon. For now Macie has her paws full. She is always so tired when we get home she goes straight to her chair for a long nap.
