Default MORNING greeting an AIR HORN of all things..lol belated Christmas gift too..

so take out Max this morning. JUST took a bit of a walk this morning....and here this AIR HORN...blows at me. almost jumped out of my skin..lol litterally and there is the guy pulling up beside me and Max in the transport truck that almost hit the lady that Max saved.
what a super neat guy..he got out of the truck and talked to Max. told him all the great things that happened for rescue because of Max saving this lady. he was amazed at the goodness that came out of a near disaster.
he asked me if I knew the lady and told him NO not at all but heard of her now and that is was 86. told him of all the great things that Max got for gifts from her son and so on......

he said it is NOT all about the dog.....lol. someone was letting you know......to take out that pug that morning......at that time of the day. he gave me a gift certificate to go out to supper at a local restraraunt here....... that is soo cool.

he shook Max Paw and said keep up the good work..
he said he is very sprititual which I am not usually...but he said God was on our side that day..for the lady and for him too. he can still see her crossing the road and this pug coming out......

he will never forget Max he said..
he has told countless people of Max and what happened that day.....
he himself also made a contribution to a local rescue where he lives too..

what is neat is I told him that Max is a rescue too.....just made him smile at how far he must have come to do this for a stranger..
not the best rescue fundraiser to go through but it sure has paid off for many other dogs..
told him the air horn........got my attention...lol.
off he went to continue his run..he seldom comes through the town and the gift certificate was made out for a long time ago..he carried it with him in case he seen me and Max sometime in the future and today was the day.

so this is a nice way to start the day.....
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........

Wow, Pat, what a story! I do believe the guy was right - things like that don't happen by chance. There is a higher power and He was looking out for the truck-driver and the lady who almost crossed the street in front of it.

Enjoy your supper - make sure you save a tiny bit of it for Max! He sure is a hero.
