I love history!

something that got more interested is that one of the seniors told me something at STRUCK home for me..
he said years ago they did not have the way to go out and about like now so they spent alot of time at home and entertaining where everyone knew everyone...and then he said they used to know most of the homes around and churches back then inside and out..
kinda cool.
he told me of a quary...not sure that understand them exactly..lol. but a house is buried under water where he used to live and said it is something to see
also just heard of another local quary today that has buried airplanes and lots of other things in the water hole....for better lack of words..

history is cool and right outside our doors most of the time...and forgotten......when it is very interesting to look at

one more thing that seniors do stress and time and time again
is that back then MEN were Men..lol and it took lots of time to construct the buildings and such..
never heard the term barn raising...but they had big parties for that in the back day too..

On the topic of Coffin Doors...are they both on the outside of the house and in the inside too??
or just a palour type of place from the outside door..
