    Default Pug Sternutation

Engineers really should study the internal structure of a pug's nose. Whenever Peanut sneezes I expect to see snot, blood and brain matter on the ground. A pug sneeze has to be one of the most violent displays of biology in the world.

    In case you were wondering...

And pug sneezes also frequently involve bizarre facial contortions prior to the sneeze.

Yes. One time Peanut's pre-sneeze antic had her doing a facial expression like Lon Chaney's Phantom of the Opera. It wasn't quick though. It was in slow-mo with a stuttery head nod. Frightening.

I love when Prim sneezes, it is so cute! She goes through her big sneeze, always on my face and then looks at me like "what?" as I'm wiping the layers of slobber off. HAHA Love it.

I have had two incidents of reverse sneezing recently. It's scary looking.

Oh yes. I was really scared the first thing that happened. I thought Winnie was choking to death or something.

I red somewhere that the reverse sneeze is the single most common reason for non-emergent ER vet visits, because everyone things the dog is dying.

What would be really funny is if someone could capture a pug sneeze on high speed film and play it back really, really slow. I wonder what all the wrinkles do? Do we have any film students out there????
