Default AMAZING how ONE dog can change the HOUSEHOLD...everything changes without Bella...

When Bella is here........she is and has always been alpha dog. her and Gus have discussions over that but in the end she wins.. she is the louder of the dogs here and barks for different reasons or to alert you of things too........she is also the one that gets the pug going in the putona 500..lol all the time.

she is gone to Bryan's now until he returns to the boats..likely the end of March..or earlier depends but for now.........I am down to 3 dogs..here.

    what a change..
Gus goes into alpha mode........and takes that honour over really fast......lol
he goes from sleeping all the time into BIG protection mode...he was barking at all kinds of things that moved out the window..last night and he is deaf...so sorta surprises me.

this morning..when the dogs were out ....... Gus made sure that i took him out with the pugs. he is never like this normally take the pugs on the splitter and then take out Gus and Bella on their own. well NOT now......Gus was not letting me out with the pugs without him there too..so splitter and 2 pugs and 1 bulldog on the other leash....

then in they all come.......and Gus starts to chase Zeus and Max all over the place too........

the boys are into humping each other starting today too........that will not last for long..lol but that must be to establish who is boss over who...in the new change. even the pugs are humping each other too...lol.

by a couple of days everyone will get into this new routine........

Bella is back at the end of Feb for 4 days when bryan goes out to his company meetings and we get to do this all over again.

the pack.........behaviour is truly awesome to watch in all species.of dogs
and especially when one is missing
likely they all do this when one goes to the bridge too...
can only imagine in rescue when a new dog comes in to the pack and one goes out of the pack all the time..
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........

    Well I guess I have something to look forward to R is heading out for work so the Pugs will have to get used to him being gone, the cat has made herself his he gives her treats and spoils her (she will be on a diet :}

this afternoon laid down for a bit to read on the bed and the pugs were up on the bed with me..and Gus came in the room a bit later
he did the big bulldog cry..pittiful..really...bulldogs are great at it..lol
the PUGS did not find this amusing at all
they started to bark at my face..
like something was seriously wrong with Gus
he just wanted me to pick him up..lol Gus can get up on his own but he seldom does unless he is playful..he is lazy..lol

Maybe Gus really likes being dominated by Bella and misses her! And the barking out the window is him looking for her and chasing the other ones is him waiting for her to join in and wanting to go potty with the pugs to look for Bella? Maybe deep down inside, he's a little co-dependen on her?

LOL could be he misses her.......but somehow doubt that to much.......
he loves to be topdog...too much on occasion
he is soo wide awake for a bulldog though and makes me laugh out loud
    he is very protective

not sure he misses her to much...

he is not a co dependent..lol even though he is deaf.........

agree though Bella when she is here does it all..LOL and he sleeps......
she is super great with the pugs.....
the last time this happened.....he was awake for most of the 3 weeks she was gone to bryan's..lol
remember it was Gus that would not even let me break in the apartment here......I got hiked into a a cop car even..

he is just dong his job........good
and he must in some ways LOVE THE PUGS...too..
he even did bath time for them this morning....so gotta be love
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
