Honey, a stallion is a male horse used for breeding--as opposed to a gelding who has surgically lost his ability to breed. Try researching the American Standardbred, harness horses raced with sulkey and driver at a pace or trot. The Hanover line is famous in this country for their gait and courage.

When I was younger I owned a Standard Bred who was retired from cart racing at age two because she wasn't all that good. She was the best companion and riding horse though! I also owned an Arabian gelding, he was beautiful and had lots of personality!

Palomino Quarter horse, Palomino is a color not a breed, but many breeds can be palomino.

wow thanks everyone......when it comes to bulldogs and pugs......I know them
comes to horses I flunk major..lol. never had a horse, never rode a horse.......lol ever either
this couple I see tomorrow with Max is soo much into them though........the convo always goes to the horses
most of the seniors are familiar with them since almost all of them came from this rural area on farms..

I talked to the head president at Prance. wow so cool. she totally understands theuraputic animals that is what there horses are for

they are all therapeutic horses and the lady there is willing to set up a meeting if the seniors want to go there for the day and provide lunch and riding lessons for them...and so on.
they can go in the wagon ride and pet the horses too
they have been doing this for well over 20 years..

told them about Max being their therapy dog/serice dog and they can totally relate to the bond between animal and person.....
so they suggested to talk to the people in charge..they can go there or they will come and do a presntation for them.

    wow that was impressive

she suggested a good horse to discuss is the Standard bred...

    here is there website

    Prance Horses and Riders

it will be a great day tomorrow so excited to talk to the lady in charge about this idea....
if they can not go there..then Prance would come and do a video and such and answer questions for them here..
    pretty cool.....
I would volunteer to go along to go to Prance too...I have never been to the facility and it is huge there...
they have 13 horses at the moment and well over 30 riders..

yipppppppppeeee tomorrow will be the standardbred
so guess I had better do some reading..lol

    thanks again

Might also want to try the Canadian (cheval Canadien) -- they were the heart and soul of this part of the country for a long time, used for saddle and light draft. Common on farms in this region. I would imagine at least some of your residents would know them.
