Ooooh I like the idea of a baby gate! That way everyone's happy :) I think i'm going to make Nano a set of stairs to get up and down the bed, so I don't have to worry about him jumping and hurting his little joints. I mentioned that to my Mom, and she said 'Just you watch! If you do that, he'll push the stairs right up to the baby gate a escape!' Haha not very likely, but it made for a funny mental image :)

You can now buy little stair cases for dogs to get up and down onto the bed or the couch. I saw some at Big Lots and just yesterday at Petco. They were only about $30 for the cheaper ones and of course, they got more expensive from there. I think it would be worth it though.

Yikes!! That is too scary!! Baby gates sounds like the best solution. Nano is after all still a baby, and will be for another year or 2. They are so naughty until they turn 3!

Puggu occasionally raided the bathroom trash can when he was little but not the kitchen trash. He also used to chew up our razors that we leave beside the tub. How he avoided shredding his tongue, I'll never know. Then he got into shredding comforters and he must have destroyed about 4 or 5. It was unbelievable. Now that he's 5, he's the best behaved puggie i ever hoped to have. He has run of the house all day while I'm at work and he has not gotten into ANY trouble in more than 2 years.

What a funny story! But I'm sure the "trail of destruction" wasn't funny to wake up and find. I hope Nano learned his lesson... but I doubt it. Silly puggies.
