    Default Zoe's Bloodwork

She has high WBC's, which is to be expected with a UTI, and her creatinine and BUN are high, suggesting problems with the kidneys, he wants me to add Baytril at night to her meds (amoxicillin, simethicone and cranberry powder) and re-do the bloodwork in 3 weeks and see where she is then.

I will be moving her to a raw diet ASAP, as a quality raw diet is very good for dogs with kidney problems.

    Take care,
    Lisa

Will a lower protein content food help at all?

I hope that she likes her raw diet, and that her little kidneys will be okay.

That used to be the standard treatment, but now they've come around to that dogs with kidney problems don't need lower protein, but high quality protein.

    Take care,

I hope she likes her raw diet too. Our dogs slurp it right up and it has really improved their health, but they don't have the issues poor little Zoe has.

Poor girl. Hoping this new regimen helps.
