Poor Ugg.... she's so cute most of the time.... but she has this one face.... this one shift of the head, slant of the eyes, doubling of the chin.... We were struggling with a name for her (we tried Jellybean for a few days) and all of a sudden, there she was, looking all bizarre and mishapen, and I said to my husband "My God, she gets uglier and uglier...." I figured Ugly was too mean, so we shortened it, and so "Ugg" stuck. lol

    Sharlo (Sarlo akrobata)

Šarlo Akrobata (Serbian Cyrillic: Шарло Акробата; a Serbo-Croatian version of Charlie Chaplin's name in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia [1]) were a seminal Yugoslav rock band often categorized as late punk or New Wave, particularly art-oriented. Short-lived but extremely influential, in addition to being one of the most important acts of the Yugoslav New Wave scene, the three piece left an indelible mark on the entire music scene of former Yugoslavia.

    :)
So much more than, Charlie's waking me. To my core and, Charlie's shaking me. Tell my story, Charlie's making me. And Charlie's making me smile. Ohh-oo whoa now.

I was trying to think of an old lady name--I tossed around a lot of Victorian names. I have always loved the works of Beatrix Potter, but I knew it would get shortened to Trix or Trixie, so I decided on Beatrice. Everyone says she looks like one :)

Nino (aka Nino Brown) got his name from a childhood fictional charcter in the movie "New Jack City". My fiance and i were kids in the 90s so we wanted to pick a cool name that we both felt was different, but meant something to us. Most people don't get it....lol we cant seem to find a hat like that for him ....yet!

    Separated at birth?

Pug got his name from me. He was a present for my mom on Valentine's Day from my step dad. I saw the lil guy, and adopted him. (my mom unfortunately, has never kept a dog for more than a few years...yes, she is one of those people, and told me several times to get rid of Ellie, and buy a healthy pug) I was 16 at the time, and have had him 11 years now :D He is and has been my bestest friend. I am so glad I stole him LOL!!!
My parents had thought of several names for him, Jackson being one of them, or Jagger, Ringo etc...I started calling him Pug. I don't know why, but he is Pug. He has gone by many nicknames...Puggy, Puglet, Puginator...LOL
Ellie came with her name, and I was calling her Lil Pug for awhile, but the name Ellie just kind of suites her. I like the name Daisy, and when I do get another female pug, thats probably what she'll be. My crazy Daisy :)
I haven't had many pets with "real" names. My pet rats were all named Ratsy LOL Our cats are both called Cat, or Kitty, or get off my damn counter cat. :) Sometimes Black cat, and Riley's cat. I am not a big cat person, but my kids love them. And I do not want them to think of animals as being disposable. The only time we have had to rehome an animal was if it became aggressive and a threat to my children.

Our first Pug, Louie, was named after Louie Armstrong. He just looked the part. Pearl, our second, was born on Dec. 7, so it was a given. I'm thinking of naming my soon-to-be acquired Pug puppy, Harriet, because of all the shedding!

I watched Kiki's Delivery Service the night before going to look at my girl, and thus Kiki was christened. I didn't even associate the two until a week later, and for the entire week I thought myself rather creative until I realized that I watched the movie just before.
