If there was some way I could send him a guy-Pugged charm, I would!

I don't think he wanted the second one. As a matter of fact I know he didn't want her. I wanted her. The boy was my oldest son's Christmas gift and I was getting very attached to him which upset my son because MoJo was just as attached to me. SO I went and got myself a little girl.

Hey, on another note, why is it they make doggie apparel so small. I just purchased these Puppia Hoodie and Raincoat on Ebay. Both size large. Look at them. They barely fit. What is up with that. These are not Large in my opinion. WOW, she's just as big as him

I am so grateful we have not had any of these problems with Tiny. Much to many pug owners' horror, she spends most of her time outside the house - not as bad as it sounds as she can usually see either me or my husband as we have large, sliding doors leading onto her areas, upstairs and downstairs. From the first night we brought her home, at about 9 weeks, she slept downstairs in the laundry. We put newspapers all over the tiled floors and a hessian bag under her comfy bed. It was simply a matter of throwing out the soiled papers in the morning. Tiny just seemed to train herself, no dramas for us to cope with. 7 pm and she was taken for a walk around the yard, then put to bed, and about 6.00 - 6.30 am I let her out into the yard. She soon learned what this meant and no dramas for me to clean up. Tiny is now 5 years old and her routine is much the same, bed at 7 pm and let out about 6.30 am. We can go away for the day and leave her locked in her 'room', a large area under our back verandah which has been enclosed with lattice and we have rarely come home to find an 'accident'. I love watching her wander around the back yard, coming upstairs to be near me or near my husband if he is working downstairs. Because she has the freedom to come and go into the garden at any time, accidents which would distress me are not a problem. It just means that we do a daily inspection of the yard and pick up any deposits! Most of the time she is content to just lie on her donut bed or trampoline bed, knowing we aren't far away. I think her favourite time of day is about 7 pm when she has a run around the back yard with her Dad, madly trying to catch the plane which flies over about this time each night, before being locked away for the night. Tiny is one very contented little pug.

She sounds like a wonderful baby Tiny.

I guss sometimes they are easy and sometimes take some time to condition, just like children. My mom compared my boy to my oldest son who is an easy going child and now a wonderful adult.

Well you can't compare your kids! They boy was an only child so he might have been easier to train, the girl I am taking it is still young and may have a problem with a parasite. Patience is the key, if you give in she will be a diva for life just shush her and give them time to get the routine! Mine are 'adults' yet I had the bed clothes on to wash and they peed on the comforter so at 9 you would think oh they wouldn't but Pugs are a breed and personality of their own.

give it time hope she is better soon. you may have to go outside every 30 minutes for a while until she catches on!

I have given up on clothes for them online, with the cobby body the clothes just don't fit, we have some great seamstress' on here that use Pugs for models so the clothes fit nicely

WELL....here I am again awake for the second time this evening. My older boy has a major upset tummy with loose and watery stools. He's starting to be a real pain with eating everything in the yard and drinking the pool water. How in the world am I going to be able to stop him? I'm constantly running around the yard (and it's not a large backyard) to prevent him from this? Just the playing on the Loop_Loc cover and having the dry him every time he goes out is getting old.
UGH!!! Just frustrated!!! I'm glad I have a new puppy now and not fall/winter.

Anyone have this problem with them eating any and everything? How do you prevent this?

Just read on another pug forum to muzzle a pup. Not crazy about this but I could see it helping. Have any of you done this to let your pug out in the yard?

I'm so frustrated. Trying to figure out what's going on. Why did I ever think two babies would be easy? I actually don't mind the puppy training. It's the bathroom issues that are driving me crazy.

My girl is doing better with the meds but now my boy has very soft movements. He had a couple of nights where he poo'd in his crate but one night especially he was crying like every two hours to go out and poo. The next day he was very lethargic (probably from not sleeping well) and refused to eat until dinnertime. Even then he didn't finish his bowl. He's has soft poo since. Tried to cut things out of his diet like treats, bones, even his salmon oil with probiotics because he also threw up a few times.

I'm starting to think maybe it's the food castor and Pollux but then I don't know if it is the constant drinking of pool water or chomping on all the new growth in my garden. Both my pups love to eat dandelion heads. It's frustrating chasing him around the yard every time they go out. They don't do this when on the leash but for whatever reason my girl refuses to go to the bathroom when she's walked on the leash.

One of my customers works at a rescue league for 12+ years suggested I feed them their second meal earlier. I feed them at 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. She said I should feed them second meal at three. She also said I should call vet and ask they both be treated as a preventative measure in case they are infecting one another.

I'm going to take away all rawhides and not give them anymore puppy chew bones. I think I'm noticing a loose watery stool pattern after he has one of those digestible puppy dents ones. Has anyone noticed anything like that with certain bones?

I really need to get their digestive health in order so I can focus on house training. It's so hard to train when they don't feel right and I am exhausted. My patience is thin right now from weeks of disturbed sleep.

I'm so sorry for such a long post. Maybe I just need to vent. But I really just want them to be healthy and happy

    Hi!
I only have one 8 month old little girl but at times I have felt as overwelmed as you. I tried to keep her on a schudule & didn't want to upset her with changes--but if they happened I was the one upset--not her--she just rolled with the flow. Now I've realized I was the one who wanted everything perfect all the time & she just wanted to be with me & I was the cause of my stress. We are a happy pair now that I learned to relax & know not all chores are done everyday & we're fine. To help with your poop issues I would contact the vet & see about meds for both--try a bland diet of boiled chicken & overcooked rice & a TBSP of plain non-fat yogert for a few days. There is also a RX diet vets have to try to clear up loose stools. Go on line to see poiusonus plants to dogs & be sure you don't have any of them & that there aren't any low thorny branches to hurt eyes & then let them play--know everything goes in their mouths so that's being a puppy. Try to relax & enjoy them.
