Default Send some love this way

    Hello fellow puggies,
today is one of those trying days. I am tired from getting up every night and letting the puppies out. My little girl is in the crate right now screaming her head off. I will not let her out because I know she's tired (we wake up between 4:00-5:00 a.m.) and I'm trying to teach her that every time she cries doesn't mean we are going to come running. Unfortunately my poor boy is exhausted because she is always disturbing his sleep.

My little boy is on a regular schedule to have a morning and afternoon nap. He has no problem walking into his crate when I say nap time. She on the other hand wants to have free run of the house and sleep on our laps. I would let them stay out of the crate to nap during the day but the boy always starts with her to play then it gets rough.

I personally need those breaks as I work from home. When they are awake I can not do any work because they must constantly be supervised.

HELP!!!! She's cries and screams. She is proving to be so rough to train. She is sweet as pie but very difficult to housebreak.

I'm so tired. I need a full night of sleep.

May we all be kind and full of love

But look at that face! Isn't she worth a few sleepless nights?

    I understand!!!!

When I get up in the AM....early now cuz I hear Callie moving in her crate beside my bed.......I take her outside. Then I put her in her puppypen in the dining room. I shut my bedroom door, cuz she screams...and Stormy, Ben, and I go back to sleep! This AM...I went further! I wanted to really sleep in....and Ben and Storm were up and down off the bed...so I brought them out....crated them....and went back to sleep with my door closed! Slept til 10:20! It was heaven!

This too shall pass! Just don't give in to her!

It will get easier eventually I promise :)) Until then, try to make the best of it. She needs to learn what the routine is and you need to stick to it and not cave in....hard when they have such cute faces! Good luck with them.

They really are quite adorable aren't they. I see what you mean about how sleepy he looks and she's ready to bounce around the room. Best of luck to you.

    Default Here I am at 2:52 a.m.

OIY! I wasn't going to give in. I told myself I'm going to make her wait and see if she calms down. She didn't and I started to feel bad because maybe she needed to go potty real bad. Well I let both out but now I am wide awake (again) and they are back in their crates snoring.

My oldest who is great in the crate and was fully housebroken made poo in his cage yesterday. Feel like he is picking up her bad habits. Was supposed to go out with my husband on a date last night but was so tired and in a pissy mood that we canceled the outing. I'm tired.

I know I will look back and this time will be a distant memory but it's hard when you are going through it.

I had to take care of one of my accounts and my husband (his idea of training puppies is yelling at them to lay down) wasn't into watching them both so I took one with me and he kept the girl. Had to put my little guy in the stroller since I was going into a business/yoga studio. On the street a man stopped me because he was a fellow pug owner (he has 4). We were talking and he said his two girls were difficult to train and they still have accidents (not completely trained). When I asked how old they were he said 3 years old OMG, I will have heart failure. My last yorkie was a nightmare. He went pee-pee on everything including my pillow whenever he had the opportunity. Don't want to go through that again.

Alright, I need some advice. I have an open floor plan, a splanch. I've closed off my diningroom but they have access to my kitchen, den and a large foyer (plus livingroom stairway). When they are separated they are great. Together they are busy little bees. Not so much her but the boy is like a true rebel 10 year old boy. Should I gate off the foyer and put her in there while the boy has access to kitchen and den? I don't even know if that will work. If I crate her and cover the crate he pulls off the covering which makes her cry. Not sure what to do. She is the one who is not fully trained and she doesn't give a sign yet. She just stops and immediately goes to the bathroom, usually on my carpet in the den or the throw rugs in the kitchen.

Not quite sure what to do. I ask because I work from home and have my hands in gloves and chemicals most times. It's hard to keep my eyes on them every waking minute when I have to get orders filled.

Oh I'm so tired God give me strength

So here I am the following day. I just finished washing both of their bedding as they BOTH crapped all over the crates.
She had a very stubborn parasite where there was blood in her stool. Well obviously she still has it or there is something wrong with her.
We gated her yesterday in the kitchen/foyer and she was crapping a lot. Today the crapping continues. Was not happy waking up to crap all over their bedding and crates and even more unhappy that there was crap all over my Mojo too.

My husband made a comment to my parents at dinner last night that I should have just stuck with MoJo. It's pretty obvious he's not happy about Sahara and this is starting to cause stress although I am the one who has to get up at night and clean all the pee and poo.

I have to call the vet and see what her stool sample said. Why do I have the feeling they will have to do more testing which in turn will upset my husband even more. He will be thinking of the expense especially since he didn't want her.

I'm sad and tired today. Don't quite know what to do. I'm praying this isn't going to be a daily ritual with their crates and bathroom habits.

MoJo was such a good boy. What happened?

    Hang in there.

I would recommend limiting her access to carpets and rugs. Pugs have surface preferences for pee and these usually include carpets and rugs (and clothing or towels on the floor). The more expensive the more they seem to like it!!!

Just wish my husband had more patience. Our boy trained within a month and is a perfect little dog. Now that he's having accidents my husband is giving me that look like "You should have waited". Come on, training any puppy is work and there will always be accidents.

I am limiting her. Neither one of them are happy though because they are separated now so it's listening to crying most of the day which also irritates my husband.

Believe me, if I had a choice, I would take the pups over hubby.
