I saw these at my local feedstore. I have some cool mats too that absorb cold water and stay cool for a couple of days.

So I get the principle but would buy into the product a bit more if they would show a thermal of the dog AFTER taking the vest off to see what the dog's surface temperature is. Even though the outside of the vest appears cool that doesn't mean heat isn't being trapped underneath the vest against the dog. Think about one of those Hot/Cold bags you can get at the grocer. If it truly does work as advertised it would be a great addition for the hot summers here.

Some type of cooling coat is on my must have list for this summer. The one posted above looks good as does this one:

    Clean Run: Cool Coats

Daisy seems to tolerate the heat fairly well, but Huckstable is black and has an elongated soft palate which makes him much less tolerant.

well since it was recommended by a show breeder.....sure they were tested for the temps
they use they all the time at westminster too...
I am sold on the fact that a number of people have used them with great results

I keep thinking about these vets. Whenever I walk oscar even if its just for a short walk I feel panicked inside with the what ifs! So I found a little dog shop today and found cooling vests by ruff wear. She said people love them her large was 51 dollars that all she had left. So she told me to measure oscars girth and she is gonna order more and the smaller the size the cheaper. So heres hoping for a size small lol. I think if he had one it would give me a little comfort. Pat did you order any yet for yours dogs?
