So far, so good. The surgery was successful, so now I just have to keep her on crate rest for the next 8 weeks. Keeping her chill is a challenge, but keeping Dozer chill is proving to be nearly impossible. He is simply beside himself because he is not allowed to play with her. It is going to be a long 2 months.
Anyway, here are some pictures of her feeling sorry for herself.

Awwww poor baby! She looks sad :(
Aw...see her healing nicely and time going by quickly!
She HATES the cone of shame. I think when we are able to take that off, she will be much happier.
I am hoping for speedy recovery so that Dozer and Sassy can go back to their regularly scheduled wrestling/pug pile antics.

Awww poor baby, she looks so sad in the cone of shame :( I saw one at the pet store the other day made of a soft, cushy material. I'm not sure if it is as effective as the plastic ones, but it does look more comfy. Amazon.com: Comfy Cone PetE-Collar, Small, Tan: Pet Supplies

Poor baby, hope the 2 months go quickly!! I used a collar that I filled with air for Coco when she had a corneal ulcer, it worked well. I would have had the comfy cone but the vet and every pet store in town was out of her size the day I needed it!
Just a quick update. Sassy has fully recovered from her surgery, and is better than ever. She runs, she pugtonas, she chases Dozer! It is so fun to watch. I am glad that we were able to help her in this way. The 8 weeks of trouble and inconvenience were more than worth it!
