I just purchased one on ebay, it was used a couple of times but looks brand new, and I can return it, although I am sure it will be fine. When I saw they were 49.99 on Amazon new, I had money in my pay pal account so I feel it was free. lol. I paid 18.00 and free shipping. I can't wait to try it out now!

Is there a trick to this? My Furminator doesn't seem to do much.

I think it depends on how often you use it and partly on your dog. I have never removed so much fur from Spud however I do use him like once a week. It helps a lot. I love my furminator and it helps a ton. However I do groom my moms dogs. She has a beagle mix when I do brush her, a dog that is suppose to shed very little, I can make a huge pile of fur also.

Penelope sheds like crazy, but I haven't been able to get much fur off of her with it. I'll try it again after a bath.

I was not so lucky with the Furminator, I actually wouldn't recommend it. Sorry :(
