well took in Cindra this morning and the whole place was in tears.
John was sent to the nursing home for good.
he does not understand that eating time is eating time and he is totally forgetting and regressing back and back all the time
he left today
so to say the least it was upsetting and we came back early
Cindra did good though
not just to tell max..he lost his best friend
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
Pat, you need to remember that getting old beats the hell out of the other option....dying young. I feel that Dr. Kervorkian had it right, though. When a person's quality of life becomes unbearable a quiet, comfortable passing should be an option.
Chris, owned by Minni the diva, and "Sugar" Ray the ever hungry.
DH to Ellen , DD to Lindsay and Carrie
How sad, I hope he's well taken care of.
Jackie,Mom to Robbie & Stacy my human children and Tinker my furkid.
well the quality of life is not the same at the nursing home to be honest. they are over crowded.... and short on staff. they are well over 60 residents where he is now. but on the other side he is in this town so...might go and visit him sometime. with or without Max.
there was a girl on duty today that suggested I take in another dog to the nursing home. they have one already but they could use a second one.......but I am having inside gutt feelings about going there.........and not sure with Max past. she did not think a senior would lunge out at Max at all.......
will give it some thoughts
feel a deep sigh in me that something is truly missing........
sure Max will feel it too when he goes on Friday
Cindra sure did today.......she was really sad today too
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
Nursing homes with their attendant smells would probably upset the dogs. Nursing homes with their attendant smells certainly upset me. I am genuinely sorry. Can you find a stuffed pug for John to keep in his room?
Actuallly I did therapy work also, and went into nursing homes with Missy. She didn't mind it all, and the residents really loved her. My sister also brought her dog along. If you think Max would be okay, definetly take him. I'm sure John would like that also. There is something between animals and people that we just don't understand. In some place within John, he will know Max. God bless with what you decide.
I do like the idea of a stuffed pug..Ellen
might have one of them here somewhere..
the big issue is that with Max leaning more to the service dog side verses the therapy dog side.......he might just take a nursing home to much to heart......it might just upset him. it does me too
I think we might just stay at the home we are at.....
there are still lots of people there that love Max.......
so best we stay put
still not feeling myself tonight
but will be better in the morning..I am sure
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
Wow sorry such a sad day.
I'm sorry to hear that. Sorry for you, John, and Max.
