    Default Our Memorial Day weekend

Spent it with some Family and dogs kayaking and a cook out.

OH boy oh boy car ride.

    Break time

Woah back on dry land during the break.

    The aftermath.

What a fun adventure! Spud looks so cute in his lifevest. Do you hold him on your lap in the kayak? Or does he somehow sit behind the seat?

His spot is really pretty neat, I have 2 storage things. One in the back and one in the front with straps to strap stuff down and so I put a pillow in it and that is where he stays most of the trip. We are still working on it a little bit, he has fell off a few times but that is where the strap on the back of the vest comes in very handy. I simply just scoop him back up and the journey begins. That is when he will sit on my lap for a few min. I think I am going to get a waterproof pillow and maybe some wood to make a platform so he has more room.

He is really starting to warm up to swimming, he has done it on his own voluntarily a few times. He still isn't the most thrilled about it, makes me wonder why he isn't more careful when he is up there. He fell because he got excited and barking at another dog.

I think it is something he really enjoys. He sits better for his lifejacket then he does his harness and whenever I have my kayaking gear out and packing it up he will either jump in the car or sit in my kayak seat or his.

Everyone looks like they had a lot of fun and they are all tuckered out.

That is so cool! I think Joy would love that. She seems to enjoy going in the water with her life vest on, we just don't have many opportunities to do it.

Spud looks like he had a great time! Glad to see others take their pugs kayaking! When we took Zamboni, we got strange looks - Pugs aren't water dogs you know! was the comment we heard the most! She loved it though. And Spud looks handsome in his life jacket!
