We flew with young Elroy (just 4 months and 9 pounds) to the Gulf Coast for the holidays. I snapped this pic with my camera phone (when the cabin door was open of course.)

If you think dogs can't count, try putting three dog biscuits in your pocket and then give him only two of them.

Friends are the family we choose for ourselves.
That's adorable! I wish Tilly was that small again.
He was amazing on the flight. He basically slept the entire time. I put my socked-foot in the bag at one point, and he curled around it and slept. I really seemed to like the plane. Odd little pug dog.
He was definately the most popular person at the airport though. Everyone wanted a piece of Elroy that day.
So cute!! you are so lucky to be able to take your pugs in the cabin. NO DOGS are allowed to travel in the cabin in Australia.![]()

I grew up in New Orleans, so I was excited to see it since the storm, 4 months ago. I am sad to say that much of the damage is just as Katrina left it, mainly upside-down and in the street.
My extended family (everyone but me) lives in the area. All of the locals have one messages "Things are not better here. Things are getting desperate, but people don't know it outside the gulf coast."

Are you from the northshore area or southshore? I know even in Hammond/Covington a lot of homes still have the "blue roofs" (tarps). It really is sad!

I grew up on the Northshore, in Slidell. I went to school and lived in Uptown New Orleans for many years. It's such a shame what happened to the city.
