A Valentine message to guardians of former rescues, from Bailey on his 11th birthday.

Today is my birthday. They say I'm 11 years old but nobody really knows for sure. I was thrown from a car and living on the streets for more than a month when I was rescued. I was at the house of this lady who bred pugs for 3 months. She had some puuuuurty pugs there but I'm what they call "special needs". See somehow I have some neurological damage to my back so I was dragging my back legs at the time. The tops of my back feet were had callouses. I also had 3 kinds of worms and only weighed 11 pounds.

Then this lady came by who I just knew was going to be my forever mommy. She even asked my rescue lady for a "special needs" black boy pug! I was the answer to her prayers! So when she sat down on the patio with me and the 8 show pugs, I managed to push my way onto her lap. That was 10 years ago now, and she is my world and she tells me I am hers. I also have a sister and a foster brother too. Now I don't drag my legs at all, I just walk looking like I am a little drunk, but hey, who doesn't?

Because I am so sweet my mom has set Valentines Day as my birthday. We are all getting smoked salmon foe dinner for my special day and she is going to make me my favorite peanut butter cookies (I have the recipe in the PugSavers cookbook even).

On behalf of all of the former rescue puggies out there, I want to wish our forever mommies and daddies a very, very happy Valentines day! Some of you know a little of our former stories, but in our hearts and minds, our lives started the day you opened up your hearts to us.
Since we can't write and we can't talk, sometimes we feel you don't understand how much you mean to us. Each of you is so special to your pugs and you are loved more than words could express. Sometimes we are so filled with love we just burst!! (and you thought that was just snot, didn't you...that's LOVE!!)
You have changed our lives in such a special way, and we all want to say a big "I LOVE YOU" and "HAPPY VALENTINES DAY" to all our guardians

Hey pal!!! Happy Birthday from the Pugdads, Miss Penny, Miss Molly, & SugarRay!

I know you remember Bruno, Cassie, and PeeWee. (You're doing the Conga with PeeWee in a picture I posted not too long ago!) Well, today is also the day Pugdad Lee and I met them 7 years ago! They've all gone to Pug Heaven being taken care of by your person Grandma, but this will always be a special day for us.

It was ALSO, Miss Phoebe's birthday (observed) just like you!!!

Anywho.... blah, blah, blah..... HAPPY BIRTHDAY BAILEY!!!!
