Default Awaiting the results of new Kong "treat"!

OK, after hearing that many of you freeze yogurt in the kongs, I finally bought some at the store yesterday, and filled the 4 kongs (using the syringe thingy I give the pugs liquid meds with- worked GREAT), and froze them.

I gave the kongs to the pugs as I left for work this morning.... so I am excited to go home at lunch and see if they were well-received!!

What else do you all put in your kongs? I do peanut butter, and now this yogurt.

Some kibble and yogurt (for the holes), or some banana mixed with yogurt, or some peanut butter (no salt, no sugar), or some mixed with yogurt, or some lumps of cheese, or some apple, or some l/o mac and cheese, or some mashed potato, or some cheese and mashed potatoes. Or pretty much whatever you've got that pugs can eat. See their site for more ideas.

Pumpkin (canned, no sugar added, 100% pure) works well also.

I chop up green beans and put them in there along with chopped celery to give that crunch, I add a very small amount of bell pepper with it as well, doesn't take them as long to get it out as frozen yogurt but it's something different for them.

This has to sound like a very dumb question.

What room in the house do you give the pugs peanut butter, or yogurt
or anything in their kongs?? I have had kongs for a number of years.
I bought the filling, I always have yogurt, cheese and peanut butter on hand. I just don't know how to contain the mess of sticky fillings.

Should I offer it to them in their crate, or wait for the snow to melt
    and give it outside.

    What does everyone else do???

Fill them, then freeze them. They have to lick them then. Kongs are good in crates, too; they keep them busy.

Do your pugs get all sticky when the filling melts???
Now I think I understand why people freeze them.
I would have just served them as they are.
