I've just spent over an hour working up a sweat and fighting a losing battle to try and remove the pug fur from my car. Every so often I attempt to get rid of the pug fur and usually end up giving up in defeat. Today I vacuumed, I used a sticky tape roller, I even got out some packing tape to try and lift fur out of the crevices. Sure, it looks "better," but it's still VERY obviously a car that transports dogs. The worst is the floor and back window ledge, where there is carpet-like stuff. The fur just burrows in and won't budge.
Anyone have tips for how to get that imbedded pug fur out? Is there any hope for having a clean car again?

you need to learn the tricks of the "detailers" - I don't know how they do it, but I part with $100 and my car looks and smells like new!

A I hope if dogs ever take over the world and they choose a king, they don't just go by size, because I bet there are little dogs with some good ideas.

I don't have any tips, but this is why I just had to have a car with leather interior and the pugs always ride in their crates. I've still got the occasional piece of fur, but it's nothing like when I had a car with cloth upholstery.
I also have leather livingroom furniture for this same reason. It was a losing battle before.

It's the best thing I have found and it works in the car, furniture and clothes. I use it all the time on my long wool coat in the winter
I got mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I always seem to have pug hair is my vehicle too, I'm sort of getting used to it. When we take the dogs on a trip with us I usually put a large beach towel across the seats to keep some of the hair off of them.

Last year a friend's sister died and was going to be buried at Arlington National Cemetery. My friend asked me if I wouldn't mind driving some out-of-town friends to the funeral and burial. Of course I said yes, and immediately set out to clean my car as clean as it has ever been. I thought things were good. When we were on the way to burial, the visiting wife said, "What kind of dog do you have?"Busted.

I have a 1980's car with 1980's dark red velour. (). Nothing but a shopvac and a leaf blower will get the pug fur off it. Needless to say, when HM is in her limo, she gets a nice light brown towel to sit upon.
