not sure if it is spring or what ..lol but these pugs have a inner clock that says coffee and play time with MOM at 6am. now we all go to bed at night by 9 to 9:30 but even on the days that I stay up later..they still seem to think that 6am is the time to rise and shine.
I wish I was a pug that could just jump up and be ready to go without a second thought. energy to burn first thing..the bullies too
and your pugs...what time do they get up and head to bed?
Daisy and Huck go to bed between 9:00 and midnight, but they're up like clockwork at 5:40 every day looking for their breakfast. I swear - it's 5:40 on the dot - as if they can tell time! Except this week - I had to get up 1 morning at 4:40 and the next day Daisy woke me up at exactly 4:40 looking for breakfast!

My pug is NOT a morning pug.....there are mornings where I have to actually PICK HER UP and carry her upstairs to go outside and do her thing. I usually go take my shower, and she stays in bed.....and looks at me with sad eyes when I tell her it's time to go outside... lol Silly dogs...I have three dogs and they ALL do the same thing...but Daphne, the pug, is the worst.

I love listening to these stories! Aine is such a madam. she does as she dang well pleases. Basically she gets up when I get up - most times begrudgenly.
Otto actually tells US when its time to go to bed. Which is normally between 9 and 10pm. He trots to his crate and sits and stares at us. So we switch off the TV and go to bed. LOL
The mornings he is normally up and ready to go at 7am....he rarely sleeps in.
We normally get ours to bed at about 11:30-12:00. They would sleep in and get up between 8:30-9:00. Papa Chuck came to vist for a week and he is an early riser. When he would come upstairs at 6:00 or so he would take the pugs out. Now... ugh... everyday the pugs are up and calling for us by 6:30. We let one pug sleep in the big bed with us each night and whoever was lucky enough to get big bed treatment will sleep in until mom gets out of bed. They could care less about when I get up (early to take care of the other two) but when Lindsey gets up, big bed pug is ready to rock 'n roll!

Ms. Dixie's sleeping & waking routine consists of 'I really don't care what time we go to bed or get up, just don't leave me behind.'
When I go to bed, she goes to bed. If I get up to go to the bathroom, she follows me into the bathroom and sits beside me. Yawning of course, but she's there.
If I'm having a sleepless night and go into the living room to watch TV, she comes along and snuggles in the recliner with me. When I get up to go to work in the morning, she gets up and goes and gets in her bed under my desk in my office.
In between, as all of that companionship and protectiveness can be quite exhausting, she sleeps.
On the other hand, she may decide she needs to go potty at 1 a.m. so if she hops off the bed I take her out. I know it was a bad habit to allow to foster. Fortunately I have a fenced backyard right off the laundry room so I don't have to deal with dressing, leashes, etc. I just turn off the security alarm and lean in the doorway. She's a really good girl.
Every so often we'll have a fake-out where she just walks outside, stares at the moon, circles the yard, sniffs a few things and comes back inside. I tease her about those with 'oh.. so you just felt like doing a little dawn patrol, huh?'
When I first got her and crated her all night while retraining her housebreaking it was useless to try to sleep through anyway because she'd just continue her 'this'll get your attention' full body shakes causing the crate to rattle. Yes the solution to 'that' may have been crate her in another room and I would have if taking her to potty wasn't so convenient as it is now. If we ever move from here and I find myself having to dress and descend a flight of stairs or elevator I'm sure her habits would require modifications too.
But I'm a light sleeper so it doesn't bother me. Over all, as she is so loyal and loving to be with me I return the loyalty and love and be with her. Right now she's stretched out on the bed Pug napping while I sit here with my laptop. I thank Dixie Daddy every day for this wonderful gift.
No early risers here. They get up when we get up. That is usually 7-7:30am for me, but if I sleep in till 8:30 or 9am, they stay in bed until I get up to take them out and feed them breakfast. They tend to doze in the evenings in their dog beds and then go upstairs with us when we go to bed around 11pm.

I am usually to bed between 8-9 pm and the Pugs curl up with me on the couch (my bed for now since my hubby was moved to 2nd shift). Hubby comes home at midnight, lets them out and puts them in their crate. I'm up again around 4:30-5 am, they come out, do pee pee's, eat and go back to sleep until around 8 am. Not ideal but it works for now.
