Default Does your PUG protect your household??

all my pugs think all guests are friends and do not ever bark when someone comes in. not sure what they would do if someone was to break in though......then they might say something.
Gus is deaf and seldom barks at anyone.
Bella is household protector big time
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........

Not Zoey, but Eddie, oh boy. We must start working on that too, he has got such a piercing bark. I think you all heard his welcome when we come home, his bark is very much like that. I am hoping that the longer he is here, the more comfortable and less BARKY he will be. Cross your fingers for us, or ear plugs it is.

All three protect the house, bark at everyone that comes in, and we don't like people especially dogs walking infront of the house, every part of the road the puggies can see out of the window is theirs.

Tuff runs to the door in excitement if the doorbell rings, but if it's a strange noise oustide he's hearing, he gives his warning "furfs!" Then he runs to mom or dad..."It might be dangerous, Mom! You go first..." :-p

Thankfully, at my house the fridge and the container where the kibble is kept are absolutely safe from any hungry trespasser. According to my crew, nothing else in the house is of value!

Tilly barks, at ghosts, at TV, at people at the door until I open the door. She runs from the living room window to the family room window, and then to the sliding glass door when she gets worked up. As far as protecting though, not likely. Once the person is inside and says hi to her she is all waggy and sniffy...oooo a fan came to pay their respects!!!!

Update: Mz Tilly informed me that she was using the happy dog to distract the intruders until authorities showed up. Who can be bothered with taking things when there is Mz Tilly to play with and pet. The face licks are to gather DNA for evidence. Tail Wags to collect loose hairs, etc.... The sniffing is to easily pick them out of a lineup (I wasn't going to ask why not just look at them)

any time Shylah hears a noise outside our apartment, she barks.
anytime someone knocks, she barks her head off.
when she hears a honking car, she barks.

    she's a barker.
    an alarm i'd say.
mommy to my first furchild ; shylah !
