if this might be toooooooooo tempting to mark. they love to make the trees outside..and not sure that they will NOT try to mark a real tree in the house.

I found a Kriss Kringle tree and will get it tomorrow but will not put it up until about the 15 of December. the guy told me that sells them on the phone is is ONE of the only tree s that will seal itself in a few hours if the water runs out. that would mean it would have to come down and be recut at the stem ...he says they are lovely though and the best for needle retention..

We hav one of those stands with a water reservoir on it. It's super - it holds enough water for a couple of days, and the water level is easy to monitor and refill as it gets down. I've never hat a tree run dry with it.

Put my tree up today, luckily no one is interested in it. Bo doesn't mark the tree, thank goodness! I think in the past my girls have peepeed on the tree skirt though.
