I always know that Max has to go outside because he starts this run in circles mode and then out he goes............he turns and turns and turns before he decides to go.
all the pugs do this...except Zeus.
ONLY the one bully..lol does it
this has to be something exciting about taking a dump or something..hahaha. makes me laugh especially with Max and the drama that leads up to that..

Frank just goes to the front door then comes and stares at you like "com'on dont you know I have to go potty" but once outside he has to sniff for the right spot circle, circle, circle. Circle while pooping then go back around to check. Jack runs to the door and if you miss him he will just poop in a shoe...lol

Gus used to run in turbo house in the beginning as he was being housetrained........... now that he is housetrained and runs in turbo mode........I still sometimes feel the urge to get him outside asap.

Jonas goes to the front door and presses his face against it.. He won't move a muscle til I call him to the back door to go out.... Abby goes into my husband's room and interrupts his game to get him to let her out.. Meisuu goes to the back door which is right next to her kennel, and slams a paw on the kennel door over and over to make a racket so I'll know she's back there and wanting out, and Jethro comes to me and jumps his front paws over and over on my thigh and then tilts his head as if to say "I'm waiting, but I'm not sure why you haven't moved yet."

Rosie will run to the front door and back to me and then give me the head tilt look of "HEEEELLLLLLOOOO I NEED TO GO POTTY NOW!!!" and then run to the laundry room which is where the back door is~ Bear will just bounce his paws off my legs until I ask if he needs to go potty and then he races to the back door! Not a lot of circling at ptty time, but Rosie and Hoss both spin like a couple of tops at meal time LOL!

Snickers goes to the door, and as trained, will put both paws on the front door and sit there and wait for me :)
once she's outside ... let the circles begin lol ... she makes really big circles, then they get smaller and smaller until shes just spinning lol
~A proud pug is: stubborn, adoptable, determined, curious, fun, sociable, a chomper, a cuddler, and a true champion.~
Actually what happened just a few moments ago is a perfect example to use here...
Oz is extremely tired but out of the blue he started being REALLY naughty (biting my fiance's feet, nipping at his hands, and growling) then started the pugtonas. So I say his name, he halts and tilts his head at me. I say "do you need to go poo??" Haha...so Ozzy bolts up the stairs and to the back door.
Sure enough he goes to his specific place. (we have a mint garden, and that's where Oz usually does his poops. We don't use the mint, lol)

My MuShu sends me intense brain waves. Seriously! I can be another room and just know I have to go to the back door to let MuShu out to do her business! I suppose it really boils down to becoming aware that she isn't by my side, it is too quiet and I'd better go check on her, right? But she usually is just waiting at the door for me to come and let her out. It is sooo funny. She doesn't scratch at it or whine or anything. Wish she would. She actually has a cast iron bladder and I worry that she holds it too long sometimes. Her early years were frought with urinary tract infections, although I now attribute it too having grain in her diet at the time, (oatmeal and rice). She just circles outside immediately before she pees or pottys.
