thumbs down. i've tried consistently with mongo, but she just loves to pull on her harness. we even did obedience classes, but no help. she seems to think the second we walk out the door and the leash is on it means time to pull and it looks as though she's swimming she's pulling so far ahead of me!! i've heard that certain types of harnesses actually promote pulling, perhaps that is her problem?
i've been contemplating getting one of the 'no pull harnesses' - has anyone tried these with any sucess??
I have a no pull harness for gus my deaf bulldog and they do really help. they do not hurt them. never seen one that small for pugs yet..but should also look into that too
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
Dumpling goes to the bus stop with us every day and sine she went into heat, she has been on a leash no matter what, she has gone from sitting in the road when she has a leash on, to leash master! I really think it is just a matter of doing it evey day, it was for us anyway.

i took a look into the sense-ation ones.. they were recommended to me by our trainer and they will fit small pugs. i think i'm going to take a try and purchase one. i live in the city so when i take the little one for a walk and she's running across the sidewalk getting tangled in peoples legs it becomes quite the commotion!
i keep hoping mongo will become a leash master when i take her out each day.. but she's still young so for now perhaps the no pull harness might be the best option to help aid her in learning proper leash walking!
Both are thumbs up, until they see a dog. We have just recently found that Eddie actually knows the command heal. Someone must have taught him this before we adopted him. He will walk right beside you, until, there is a dog. Zoey is really good on leash and is usually walking a bit behind me. Never really had to teach her that, she just does it. But because I have 2 and I can't have them walking close just in case there is another dog, I have Eddie on the left and Zoey on the right.

Our two are great on lead but would sooner always be off lead in the park![]()
Well we have only had Petey for a week, but I will have to give him a paws up as of our spectacular walk this morning. He pulled a lot with a collar and does better with a harness. I got a Kurgo 6 in 1 leash and it works great! I can put it over my shoulder and across my chest and clamp it to just the right length so he has a little slack. He will now walk on my left nicely. He does best when I'm pushing the baby in the stroller, I think because he can't cross in front of me then. So it's nice to have my hands free for the stroller. He did ok with the flexi but it's tricky to use while managing the stroller too.

~Always missing my heart dog, Buster and his partner in crime, Abigail. They are together now at the Rainbow Bridge and probably causing trouble.~
Thumbs Up! I would never allow them to walk outside our fenced yard without a leash. However, now that I have 3 I find it very difficult walking them. My 2 big girls got out of their harness and the collar is a waste because my Missy's neck is wider than her head.
I love my pugs
Benny has a heel that makes Mommy proud and brag. Lol I walk him on a 4ft lead and his head is with my left leg like clockwork. Im so proud of his heel I could brag all day lol. And he knows left turn, right turn, wait, lets go. All come in very handy in Chicago.
thumbs up, she will run up to people if not on leash
