Walking your pug

There are a lot of different ways people walk their dogs. How do you walk with your pug?

Do you allow them to walk ahead of you as long as they are not pulling(the leash is loose and not tight)?
Do you have them walk beside you?

Or do you let your pug walk you? :) LOL

Just wondering. I don't want my Rebbie to pull but am kind of confused in where he should walk. Should I train him to walk right beside me or a little behind? Or should I let him walk in front of me as long as the leash is not tight and he is not pulling?

When we were going to obedience training, she walked on my left beside me.I let her walk in front of me if she's not pulling, she's still on my left.
