hmmm looking at the pugs the only real resemblence I can see if the ability to be Pack animals..they totally love other dogs and often bond together throughout the day.
they also are territorial over their food and will growl at each other.
other then that..do not see much wolf in the pug.....lol
I know Max can HOWL and he does this is the best of any dog I have seen before.......he says that is good enough...lol he can howl as god as any wolf.
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........

The 99.5% (or something like that) grey wolf DNA says are pugs have sharp teeth made for tearing raw flesh and swallowing, not flat teeth for chewing. It also dictates that they do not make salivary amylase in their mouths which begins the digestion of carbohydrates, thus a high meat diet is natural for them. The DNA also dictates that they have a short digestive tract with specific digestive enzymes and a specific pH of stomach acid to easily and efficiently digest raw meat. And their pancreas does not make enough amylase to breakdown a diet high in carbohydrates and grains and vegetable matter.
We are hurting our pugs with all the non-species appropriate commercial diets of today.
