I have a mix here. Old Bailey is always the first up and because she's incontinent, you better get her out right away. If you don't happen to hear her tags jingle and know she's awake, she will sound the alarm with her little hop barks until you wake up and let her out:
Zoey is also an early riser. If you don't get Dickson up before he fully wakes up you will likely get a poop in the bed, so he is always one of the first out although I think he would love to sleep in. Once I'm up with the early risers, the rest slowly fall into line, stretch and come out to potty and get breakfast. The worst is Edgar Allan Pug, who flat out refuses to get up or leave the bed in the morning....I have to pry a hand under him and haul his 35 lb. butt up off the bed and place him outside. From the yard after pottying he jumps straight up on the couch and naps until it is his turn to eat....sometimes I have to lift him off the couch to eat even. He is not as food motivated as the rest, he often leaves some of his meal and treats are usually spat out unless they are something VERY good.
Take care,
Lisa

If my mommy gets up to early, I crawl back under the covers where she can't reach me!! Though mommy and daddy ALWAYS get up to early! They drag me out and if it is mommy, she carries me to the door, puts my leash on and then puts me down and drags me outside ... then I run inside and curl up on the couch! If it is daddy, he puts me down and I run to curl up on the couch and sometimes he has to get me again to take me out!

I do have to wake up old man Frank, give him his arthritis meds and then give him some time to get moving in the am... The girls are chomping at my heels the second my feet hit the floor LOL

Angel always had to be woke up except in her puppy years. When you did finally get her up she would do her outside business then go back to sleep on my lap.
as i have to wake them up sometimes to go out and at times when it's time to eat yes i know but, they are what we call lounge pug seniors lol.![]()
No. She's up at 5:15 every morning :). Earlier if she hears something moving
I love reading about all our babies, it feels like they are all my boys' family.
Anyway I do not sleep well so I often wake him up, but in the morning, often times my chickens will start to call out to me to let them out of the coop that is when my boy will jump out of the covers and run to the door, or if they don't complain I very often have to nudge him or all I have to say is, "OK" but get out of the way when I do it he comes out from under the covers fast and furious like he wants to know "where's breakfast?"
He waits patiently to eat then right back to the recliner for his morning nap. What a life, I read somewhere that they sleep 75% of the time.
I believe it.
From the posts here, it seems as if the girls are quite the firecrackers and the boys are layabouts :)
