I am paranoid always of some dog escaping out the front door and that is truly unfounded fear but none the less like the harness on in case I have to nip them in the bud with something or catch them if I need too.
all the dogs wear their harness inside the house
on occasion like yesterday I let one of them run around naked for a bit..........Max thinks that is cool too.
none of them complain with the harness on
I never use a collar on my pugs at anytime....I have heard some horror stories of different dogs getting hooked in the neck with the collar...and plus they can slip a collar far to easy wth their flat faces..
I had a pug years ago slip the collar that the vet used in the morning before Otis was neutered and he ran 7 miles to get into town..and took over 2 days to get him back.......... and he was fine but I was livid since I told the vet ONLY a harness on the pug...... they put him out to pee and he took off.......arrgg.

Our dogs run naked indoors (they have microchips) but .... we only use the side door - so to come in or out of the house you have to get through the side door, down a passage, move a dog guard, open the back door .... and still the dogs are behind baby gates in either the kitchen or bedroom when we are not here - paranoid? Possibly but who cares?

Macie does not wear her harness in the house but I have a foyer with a door leading into the house and if I go out to the garage or answer the front door, they all are behind the door where they cannot run out.
I have a fence in the front here and no way they can run out..usually either
but lately with everyone at the door with plumbing issues....lol it looks like it could be possible...
the dogs are good though at not running to the door at any time though..
paranoid for sure here..big time..but I do not care either

My dogs never wear a collar or a harness indoors or in the yard. I'm frightened that they might hurt themselves or get caught on something. They're both microchipped, so the police can identify them should they get lost. I'm not too worried about that happening though. They're walked off leash every day and have never shown any sign of wanting to run away. They always come when called and have also learned the 'stop' command.
Tinker is naked in the house too. We don't own a collar, her tags are on her harness and she's micro chipped as well. She goes to potty out in our backyard, it's not fenced but she never goes anywhere. She does what she needs to do and comes back in, she has occasionally gone to the beach but I just have to call her and she returns. We're in an enclosed neighborhood with not much traffic and far away from the main road. When I walk her to the beach next door, I take her off her leash and leave the harness on once we get there.

Being a horse person, I have it drilled into me that a beast has to be naked indoors (and unless closely supervised outdoors too) in case they get hung up on anything and hurt themselves trying to get loose. So the dogs go naked in the house too. They are microchipped though, in case they get out.

Nope, collars on at all times, special needs animals wear their harness. Yes, I do worry about animals being hung up, but I worry more about someone bolting the door.
Mine are naked, the back yard is fenced in and I too fear them catching on something. Recently the bottom pole on the gate has rusted and the neighbor dogs are pushing in so yep they were out yesterday (we are not close to a road and ours is a dead end) they know better and I know some might say a Pug/Dog can't have facial expressions but they sure looked like "snap she's at the gate"

they ran naked at the other house but so close to the road here.......not taking any chances on the bolting but on occasion give them a short rest from their harnesses though
