I noticed that lately that Max gets very jealous with the time spent with Zeus and Zeus gets very jealous of the time spent with Max.
the one will just push the other one out of the way to be petted or played with or whatever..
Max is far more confident these days and using that confidence and Zeus just backs off
got to the point that when I sit on the couch......ONE PUG on one side of me and the other PUG on the other side and use 2 hands..lol to pet them.
they get jealous over Gus...both of them but they tend to leave him alone...............if he turns up his lip........they back off......he would never ever hurt one of them........but the pugs can read his signals...
the bulldogs are very jealous over each other too..here.
if one has something.........they all Want what the other one has......
that goes for toys or treats or anything......
no big fights or anything but jealousy is there for sure with all my dogs...... mostly over time with me though
anyone seen it in there pugs..
A pugs world is full of play and sleep and of course good food.........
Spud does with friends dogs. He wants all the attention from me and my friends. If we are on the couch he will keep the other dog away from the couch and stuff like that.
i have 2 that are jealous of each other also. mine are not as polite as yours. If I spend too much time with Tubby, Stinker comes barreling in and starts a fight. so I have to be careful to make sure I give Stinker her attention first or we will have a dog fight for sure. Most times just separating them with one on each side of me works to defuse the situation. but sometimes I have to throw them in their crates until they cool off... time out for the pugs....but Runt neither of them bother with. I can give her as much attention as I want and neither cares... but the other 2..... ooooo watch out.
mom to the girls...Stinker the mischief-maker, Runt and Tubby the new kids.
Both Minni and Ray are jealous when I pay attentiom to the other. They don't fight but they'll crawl on top of each other to get the best snuggling spot. When I get home from work they'll trip over each other trying to get the most attention. I pesonally find this flattering, nobody else seems to notice when I return.LOL.

Oh, absolutely. Ozzie especially is extremely jealous. Whenever I'm petting Winston she comes barging in, trying to push herself between us or trying to start a fight/playfight with him. I don't let her, because I think it's important that they both respect that the other gets affection and that I decide when. Winston, I believe, gets jealous as well, but he is such a quiet little guy. He just looks at me with sad eyes and walks away. That's much more difficult to handle because it breaks my heart a little bit. I think that he sometimes wishes he could back to the time when he was the only pug in the house.

Tinker is extremely jealous of other dogs. She pushes them away from me and with my children she gets in their laps and doesn't want them touching their own dogs!

Omg yes!! With Lilly if I start to give my staffy cuddles & kisses she is all over him biting him to get to me. I know it's jeleousy because before I give my staffy attention I try to give her hugs n kisses and sometimes she just isn't having it :) I heard it was common in pugs.

I know that i have seen it my pug and my fr.Bdog..they are both the same way towards each other but when one get to possive they will let each other know that is its time to back down. so owning two breeds with similar temeperment is very intresting.![]()
Jealosy?
Oh yes!
I have 2 pugs and they spend a lot of time and effort competing for my attention. We won't even talk about when there are visitors.
It's something I have to make a point of remembering with virtually everything I do. It's kind of funny to watch them when they both jump up on the bed to be cuddled. My pugs are not at all destructive so I allow them to go anywhere in the house with the only exceptions being my wing-back "man-chair" and a small room where I meditate. They both jockey for the spot at my side and in the process they swing their butts around trying to knock the other away or off the bed entirely. I feed them in different rooms because if I don't they will spend 2 or 3 mnutes racing back and forth from bowl to bowl, continuously barking, just looking to see what the other has in his bowl. I have to say however that regardless of their jealosies and wierd ways of acting out, they never actually fight.![]()
